2013 Summer Picnic

We hosted our annual summer picnic this past weekend at Barber Park in Montrose. We had BEAUTIFUL weather and everyone had a great time! The pavilion was right next to a nice playground for the kids and we had our favorite clown, Slow Poke, on hand for the amazing balloon animals and face painting!

We were excited to meet two new members along with their lil ones! Welcome to the group Jaimi and Kellie!

Thanks to all those who helped plan, set up or clean up and to everyone for bringing lots of yummy food! We hope everyone had a great time! See you all in September!

Color Run

I can't believe we never posted about this! A big bunch of us MOMs had a super fun time doing the Ypsilanti Color Run back in May! Quite a few of us went down Friday night, had dinner and some drinks and had a big, fun slumber party then got up and braved the COLD on Saturday to do the run!

The music, colors, run/walk and company made for a very FUN time! Maybe we can make it a family event next time (or maybe we can keep it as a Moms Night Out again!) :-)

VGs Community Share Points

As a group, we've collected and used VGs community Share Points to help earn money. (We often use the money we get back to purchase gift cards to reimburse Moms who make meals for new moms!)

Well, VGs is discontinuing that program and starting up something new and the program ends on August 30th.

Susie Haney has agreed to collect whatever points anyone has and will turn them in on August 28th. If you have any points (found at the bottom of your VGs receipts), please do the following:

1. Trim your receipts so they are tidy and easy to compile - make sure your receipt shows the Community Share Points amount 2. Total up how many points you have and include the total on a note with your receipts 3. Mail the receipts and point total to Susie (leave a comment if you need her home address).

Please send them THIS week so they are ready for her to turn in next week.

Summer Picnic!

Hopefully everyone is having a great summer! Its hard to believe how fast it is flying by!

In case you missed the news, our annual picnic will be Saturday, August 17 at 12:00pm at Barber Memorial Park in Montrose (11410 Seymour Rd, Montrose).

The group will provide sub sandwiches and drinks (along with paper supplies) and we ask that each family bring a dish to pass. Please RSVP to Lisa Goodwill or on Facebook or to momggcnewsletter@yahoo.com. Let us know how many people are coming and what dish you plan to bring.

There is a playground adjacent to the pavilion and we'll have a few games set up. If you have any fun yard games, feel free to bring them!
