Happy Halloween!!
Come enjoy watching your little ones (and medium and big kids) have a blast at the Mothers of Multiples Halloween Party, without having to do any set-up or clean-up! The church is putting on the party for us! It's October 29th at 6:30 p.m. Please RSVP on facebook or e-mail Dorothy at deedotsky@yahoo.com by Monday, October 27th. So far only 3 families have RSVP'd. The new pastor and several others are putting a lot of work into this party, but it won't be much fun if we don't have more kids.

Upcoming Meeting
Just a reminder our October meeting is coming up this Thursday October 16th at 7:00 p.m.. As usual we ask all attendees to bring a snack to share (appetizer or dessert). Membership meetings are open to all current, prospective members and even former members who want to re-connect to the group are welcome.
We have only a little business to discuss, but ask that everyone try to make it by 7:00. We will be working on a project. The church where we meet is participating in a program to provide items for children who are spending their first night in foster care. The church has supplied the funds needed to make 20 fleece tie blankets and I volunteered our group to put them together.
If your kids are old enough to tie knots or want to bring a helper along for this project they are welcome to join us.
Lastly, if you do come a little late to the meeting, please use the side kitchen door, it's to the left and up a couple of stairs. We will be locking the front door after the meeting gets underway since it is not in view from the hall where we have the meeting.
I hope to see many of you there!

April meeting minutes.
Sorry I've been MIA.
Our April board meeting was held on April 4, 2014 at Barb's house.
The meeting started at 8 pm. Those in attendance were Lisa, Debbie, Denise, Sarah, Barb, and Carmen.
We discussed the Ester party including possible crafts, snacks, and the Easter bunny. All topics were left hanging as we had to find a bunny, look for a craft, and decide on snacks.
We followed this by talking about so,me possibilities of a place to meet for our May installation dinner. This too was tabled for a later time.
We briefly talked about the groups finances and treasury. Decided that should the group continue the budget could be revised as we've spent less money this year than past years.
Then we follows this by board elections coming up and the possibility of not having anyone who wanted to be a board member.
The meeting concluded around 10 pm.
Our April general meeting was held on April 17, 2014. The meeting started at 8 pm. There were 12 members present. We began by filling and counting Easter eggs for the party the following day. We then had some food while talking among ourselves.
We voted on board members and also on donating money to the church. Dorothy Sommer made a motion to divide our church donation in half giving half to March of Dimes and half to the church. This was voted on and passed.
Dorothy Sommer was the only person who wanted to run for a board position. We then discussed ways to change the group and decoded we could have a committee of no less than 3 people to work together. I (Carmen) motioned that Dorothy could essentially take over treasurer duties if Tabitha Bucknam would agree to step up with me to form the committee. She agreed and then Tammy DePotty also said she would join in with the 3 of us to form a committee of 4. We will be meeting to discuss what changes will need to be made to switch from a board to a committee.
The meeting was over at 9:30.

March of Dimes Walk
The March of Dimes walk is just a few weeks away! This year's walk is on Sunday, April 27th. Registration is at 9 am and the walk begins at 10 am. The walk will be held at the Bicentennial Park in Grand Blanc on Grand Blanc Rd. The new path back through the park is a great path for the kids - away from traffic and paved well. There's snacks and prizes along the way for the little ones. The event is always followed by a picnic. If you've never done the walk, let Barb or Lisa know if you have any questions!
Our Team page can be found here: http://www.marchforbabies.org/s_team_page.asp?seid=2080298
You can sign up to walk with the group and raise money online once you create your own page. If you're not able to walk with the team, you can make a donation to one of our registered members or to the group.
We've all benefited from the work of the March of Dimes and its just one way we can give back and help ALL babies have a healthy start!
Hope a few of you can join us!

February Meeting *** Guest Speaker and Sale Meeting ***
Our February meeting will be held on Thursday, February 20 at the church. We will be having a guest speaker to talk about planning for a Disney vacation - how to plan a trip on a budget and how to save time and do as much as possible while on vacation thanks to Magic Minus the Mayhem!
We will also be discussing the Spring Sale, too. We are still trying to secure a date and location for the sale but if you are interested in selling, you MUST be at the meeting or have your contract and seller's fee into Lisa by that date. If we do not have enough sellers by that evening, we will have to make the decision not to hold a spring sale. Guest sellers are welcome with a current MOMGGC member.
We will update the website when we have a sale date and MOMGGC members will receive the seller's contract by email asap. Please contact a board member if you have any questions.

January Meeting - Date change - Moms Night Out!
Happy New Year! Hopefully all of our members received the email or saw the Facebook update but we have changed the night and location for our January meeting. Instead of a formal 'meeting,' we'll be having a Moms Night Out of fun at Sarah's house.
Therefore it will be on Friday, January 17th so that moms who work very early during the week can stay out a little later. It will be held at Sarah') house and it will be a game/craft night. We will have lots of fun board games and card games, and anyone working on a craft is welcome to bring that. Barb has offered to teach us how to finger knit scarves; if that interests anyone just bring along bulky weight yarn or ruffle yarn. Feel free to also bring the adult beverage of your choice and snack to share, and we will get pizza also. Oh, and we may even play some Just Dance on the XBOX for some fun and to burn off some of those extra holiday calories?!
If you need an address or phone, contact a board member or leave a comment here. Everyone is welcome! You can rsvp at momggcnewsletter@ yahoo.com
